New YouTube mobile!

If you haven't seen the new YouTube mobile they just released, I suggest you check it out. On both the iPad and iPod/iPhone, the site is much better. Video is played through the HTML5 <video> tag, instead of the standard youtube player. On the iPad, it is much closer to the normaly desktop website. The player does not go full screen like the iPhone and iPod Touch versions, but that's really the only difference except for the device resolutions. It is much better than the default app included, as videos seem to have to trouble playing, and with the YouTube dev team able to push out updates instantly, it should work! Check it out at http://m.youtube.com if you are on an iPad or iPhone/iPod touch!

The Passing — Review

Short little review on Left 4 Dead 2's new DLC, The Passing.

There's going to be spoilers, so don't read if you haven't done a play through

While it's fairly short with only 3 levels, it's still very fun. All 3 levels have scavenge and survival modes included. I'll just go over some of the new features

  • M60 - This weapon has 150 rounds that cannot be refilled. Picking up an ammo upgrade means all 150 bullets have that, so make sure to grab some. I like it, although save it for the massive hordes in the sewers or any where else.
  • Gulf Clob - Like all melee weapons, you just bash heads in. What more can I say?
  • Fallen Survivor - The fallen survivor normally drops molotovs and pipe-bombs, although I've seen lots of medkits... I guess it is a bit easier for survivor nows.
  • Mutations - The Mutations are a cool new feature, by far my favorite. The Realism Versus was fun, it even made the Jockey useful! They have more planned, which a few can be found here.
  • L4D1 Survivors - I felt this quite lacking. While they help in the end, there is very little interaction between the two groups. You can find sound files, but I've never heard them in game.

So all-in-all I found The Passing to be worth the few hours I've already spent on it. It's much better designed and more fun than Crash Course.

Welcome!

So check the about for stuff about me. Been playing Bad Company 2 a lot... sure lives up to the fun of the other games like 1942 and 2. I love the new tracer dart, it's even better with the Carl Gustav. Redneck Javelin! Smoke grenades make for some fun too, it kills people and if you shoot enough... lag! I'll post more stuff as time goes on, gonna go play.
